We pride ourselves on delivering the highest quality sports & play surfaces that ignite imagination, encourage active play, and ensure safety. Our commitment to excellence starts from the ground up, as we meticulously manufacture each surface with care.
Uniquely positioned as the only manufacturer of all three types of artificial surfaces; Tufted, Woven and Needlepunch, Playrite are the only company within the UK sports industry that can offer totally impartial advice on the type of surface to suit your needs.
Every Playrite surface begins with the careful selection of high quality raw materials that meet strict quality standards, ensuring durability and safety. Our team of experts assesses the materials’ composition and texture to guarantee that the final product aligns with our core values and meets the high expectations of our customers.
Utilising layered needled fibres to form a durable multi-sports surface with minimal sand content, reducing maintenance costs by eliminating secondary backing and enhancing porosity.
Tufted requires fibres to be punched
through a primary backing to create a U
shaped tuft, mimicking a natural grass
appearance and performance.
Created by weaving the backing yarn and
pile yarn together as one to create a very
dense pile surface. This produces a highly
stable, non-directional pile which provides
a consistent ball roll and lasting strength.
Our manufacturing process combines traditional craftsmanship with modern technology. Using advanced machinery and equipment, our skilled technicians meticulously cut, shape, and assemble the main surface components.
At Playrite, safety and quality are non-negotiable. Before any surface leaves our facility, it undergoes rigorous testing and quality assurance procedures in alignment with ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 standards.
Our quality control team examines every inch, assessing factors such as durability, resilience, impact absorption, and adherence to safety standards as outlined by ISO 9001. Additionally, we uphold ISO 14001 principles by considering environmental aspects during our quality assessment process.
Our commitment extends beyond these ISO standards. Playrite surfaces are engineered to meet a diverse range of industry benchmarks, demonstrating our dedication to excellence:
